On June 3, 2019 a Palo Alto resident, 54 year old woman, calls for an ambulance because she believes she is suffering from a stroke.
Instead the police arrive, late, and deny her medical treatment for several more minutes. One of the officers, Sgt. Adrienne Moore's, body-cam recording and patrol car cam recording and GPS data are missing and no explanation as to why. The other officer, Yolanda Franco-Clausen, unlawfully searched the woman's home and personal belongings and then divulged private information about the woman to third parties in violation of department policy and the peace officers code of ethics. Mayor Eric Filseth does not know shy Officer Moore's video footage and GPS data are missing, yet he refuses to ask the personal who would know as to why. |
Given that the patrol car system comes on automatically there is no logical explanation as to why there is no video from Sgt. Moore's car system.
Palo Alto Police Chief Robert Jonsen In an interview with the Palo Alto Weekly ten months after the incident Chief Jonsen refused to explain why the video systems did not record and why the GPS system malfunctioned.
Chief Jonsen stated that he did not have all of the information after ten months. It has now been 2 1/2 years since the incident and Jonsen still refuses to provide an explanation for the missing videos and GPS data. Chief Jonsen states that the incident was captured from start to finish.
THAT IS A LIE. And therefore he is deliberately deceiving the public. All of the actions of Sgt. Moore were not captured as well as her interactions with the woman suffering from a seizure were not captured. The was a period of time when Officer Yolanda Franco-Clausen unlawfully searched the woman's house and during this time there was no recording of Sgt. Moore's actions. https://www.paloaltoonline.com/news/2020/03/13/qa-with-the-top-cop Palo Alto City Attorney Molly Stump's Chief Jonsen's explanations are contradicted by the fact that the video system records continuously enabling officers and personnel to go back in time and retrieve video even if the officer failed to turn the system on. Thus there is no excuse for there to not be Sgt. Moore's patrol car video.
