The Political Persecution of those who expose the Palo Alto Police's violations of the Constitution.
Why do members of the PAPD violate the Constitution and the Constitutional rights of others? They do so because they deem others as inferior to themselves and therefore not deserving of the same Rights that they demand for themselves. In a nut shell, members of the PAPD do not believe in EQUAL PROTECTION OF THE LAW. They do to others that which they do not want to themselves. Doing to others that which you would not want done to yourself is the definition of hate. Refusal to change after being informed of your hate is the definition of a bigot. A cabal of Palo Alto Police Officers and City leaders persistently do to others that which they would not want done to themselves.
Below is a list of cases that we know about. Click here to see case study of how members of the PAPD target their opponents: http://corruptpaloaltopolice.weebly.com/case-study.html |

The Politically Persecuted of Palo Alto

"All obstructions to the execution of the laws, all combinations and associations, under whatever plausible character, with the real design to direct, control, counteract, or awe the regular deliberation and action of the constituted authorities, are destructive of this fundamental principle, and of fatal tendency. They serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the ill-concerted and incongruous projects of faction, rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common counsels and modified by mutual interests. However combinations or associations of the above description may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion… In offering to you, my countrymen, these counsels of an old and affectionate friend, I dare not hope they will make the strong and lasting impression I could wish; that they will control the usual current of the passions, or prevent our nation from running the course which has hitherto marked the destiny of nations. But, if I may even flatter myself that they may be productive of some partial benefit, some occasional good; that they may now and then recur to moderate the fury of party spirit, to warn against the mischiefs of foreign intrigue, to guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism; this hope will be a full recompense for the solicitude for your welfare, by which they have been dictated.” – George Washington, Farewell Address, an open letter to the American public published on September 19, 1796. http://avalon.law.yale.edu/18th_century/washing.asp |

POLICE CODE OF SILENCE
FACTS REVEALED Legal Officers Section Annual Conference International Association of Chiefs of Police By Neal Trautman Director The National Institute of Ethic 1. The police Code of Silence exists. 2. Some form of a Code of Silence will develop among officers in virtually any agency. 3. The American criminal justice system and in particular law enforcement, has been negligent by not attempting to resolve the negative impact the code. 4. The Code of Silence breeds, supports and nourishes other forms of unethical actions. 5. Because the code is an essentially natural occurrence, attempts to stop it all together will be futile. 6. The Code of Silence in law enforcement is more dominant and influential than most other vocations or professions. 9. Whistle-blowers are generally not supported by the administration of law enforcement agencies. 11. The Code of Silence among administrators, although better camouflaged and less well known, is more destructive than when non-ranking personnel do the same thing. 15. The Code of Silence typically conceals serious law enforcement misconduct for years before the corruption is revealed. 16. Some officers who participate in the Code of Silence rationalize their behavior by convincing themselves that what they are doing is not actually hurting anyone, while others intentionally replace the facts with a self-serving version because it is emotionally painful to admit the truth. 17. The majority of officers who have been in law enforcement for several years have directly participated in the Code of Silence. 18. The Code of Silence is prompted by excessive use of force incidents more than for any other specific circumstance 21. The “Us versus them” mentality is usually present within the minds of those who participate in the Code of Silence. 26. A culture which acts as fertile ground for the destructive features of the Code of Silence to grow is one that promotes loyalty to people over integrity. 31. Leaders themselves lie at the core of both the cause and solution to corruption and the Code of Silence. 32. The “rotten apple” theory that some administrators propose as the cause of their downfall has frequently been nothing more than a self-serving, superficial façade, intended to draw attention away from their own failures. 36. The intentional ignoring of the Code of Silence by leaders is primarily caused by two problems: a lack of knowledge and self-centeredness. 37. Some leaders do not do more to improve ethical problems such as the Code of Silence because they believe bringing attention to their integrity needs could hurt them personally. 38. Hypocrisy and fear often dominate the culture of a law enforcement agency that has a substantial negative Code of Silence. 40. At its worse, a destructive Code of Silence is both condoned and privately encouraged by supervisors and administrators. 44. Some police agencies have shown they are incapable of policing themselves. 54. Officers should be fired for not reporting officers who commit criminal acts. COMPLETE LIST: http://www.aele.org/loscode2000.html http://www.nealtrautmaninc.com/about-us.php Groupthink Groupthink members see themselves as part of an in-group working against an out-group opposed to their goals. You can tell if a group suffers from groupthink if it: A. overestimates its invulnerability or high moral stance, B. collectively rationalizes the decisions it makes, C. demonizes or stereotypes outgroups and their leaders, D. has a culture of uniformity where individuals censor themselves and others so that the facade of group unanimty is maintained, and E. contains members who take it upon themselves to protect the group leader by keeping information, theirs or other group members', from the leader. http://oregonstate.edu/instruct/theory/grpthink.html Janis has documented eight symptoms of groupthink: 1. Illusion of invulnerability –Creates excessive optimism that encourages taking extreme risks. 2. Collective rationalization – Members discount warnings and do not reconsider their assumptions. 3. Belief in inherent morality – Members believe in the rightness of their cause and therefore ignore the ethical or moral consequences of their decisions. 4. Stereotyped views of out-groups – Negative views of “enemy” make effective responses to conflict seem unnecessary. 5. Direct pressure on dissenters – Members are under pressure not to express arguments against any of the group’s views. 6. Self-censorship – Doubts and deviations from the perceived group consensus are not expressed. 7. Illusion of unanimity – The majority view and judgments are assumed to be unanimous. 8. Self-appointed ‘mindguards’ – Members protect the group and the leader from information that is problematic or contradictory to the group’s cohesiveness, view, and/or decisions. http://www.psysr.org/about/pubs_resources/groupthink%20overview.htm WHY COPS LIE http://specialprosecutor.weebly.com/why-cops-lie.html Honest Cop https://www.facebook.com/honestcops/ "Novato woman files whistleblower suit against San Francisco police chief http://www.marinij.com/general-news/20130515/novato-woman-files-whistleblower-suit-against-san-francisco-police-chief Slain Mendota Heights police officer was suing city for harassment, retaliation http://www.startribune.com/slain-mendota-heights-officer-was-suing-city-for-harassment-retaliation/302031311/ NYPD officer thrown in psych ward by superiors after revealing systemic corruption http://www.activistpost.com/2012/03/nypd-officer-thrown-in-psych-ward-by.html "A federal appeals court upheld $3.7 million in damages Tuesday against the city of Oakland and two police officers who, according to a jury, planted an assault rifle on a parolee's property." http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Verdict-upheld-against-police-in-gun-planting-3263947.php Narcotics Detective Admits Cops Regularly Plant Drugs On Perps http://gothamist.com/2011/10/13/nypd_narcotics_detective_testifies.php Breaking The Code of Silence - Former HPD Officer Katherine Swilley a Victim of Speaking Out For the second time in one year, a federal jury has determined that the Houston Police Department (HPD) retaliated against one of their own. http://forwardtimesonline.com/2013/index.php/state-local/item/452-breaking-the-code-of-silence-former-hpd-officer-katherine-swilley-a-victim-of-speaking-out 16yr Veteran Cop sues over getting fired for blowing whistle on fellow officer for perjury, targeting minorities https://www.rt.com/usa/323147-whistleblower-cop-retaliation-suit/ 2 Chicago cops say blowing whistle led to retaliation http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2012-11-02/news/ct-met-cop-corruption-whistleblower-suit-20121102_1_chicago-police-officers-federal-lawsuit-chicago-cops Law Enforcement Code of Ethics https://www.post.ca.gov/commission-procedure-c-3-law-enforcement-code-of-ethics.aspx Code of Professional Conduct And Responsibilities For Peace Officers http://nebula.wsimg.com/bff63cd15655c1cf5209bcc8d677bce2?AccessKeyId=0E572FE21AE776CC5468&disposition=0&alloworigin=1 Code of Ethics California Police Chiefs http://www.californiapolicechiefs.org/code-of-ethics PEACE OFFICER STANDARDS AND TRAINING http://www.hancockcollege.edu/academic_departments/public_safety/law-enforcement/LD_01_V-5. |
Two Chicago police officers charged in a federal lawsuit against the city said they faced threats of violence and warnings their colleagues wouldn’t back them up after it was revealed they’d worked undercover on a police corruption case….
“I remember reporting to fugitive apprehension and a supervisor told me, ‘You’re not getting backup. The team is not going to back you up. You guys want to put supervisors in jail. I hate to be the one to knock on your door and tell your daughter you’re coming home in a box,’” Spalding said, detailing an example of the retaliation she and Echeverria faced. http://chicagotonight.wttw.com/2016/06/20/whistleblower-cop-ending-police-code-silence PITTSBURG — A former high-ranking Pittsburg police officer sued his former department Monday, alleging it retaliated against him for blowing the whistle over the manipulation of crime statistics and hiding of police misconduct. http://www.eastbaytimes.com/2016/09/27/pittsburg-whistleblower-cop-sues-department-city-over-alleged-retaliation/ After a nine year court fight, Houston taxpayers will be on the hook for their police retaliating against the son of a whistleblower, who’s still on their force today. http://photographyisnotacrime.com/2016/05/26/supreme-court-rules-against-houston-police-who-retaliated-illegally-against-whistleblowers-son/ The number of whistleblowers being retaliated against is increasing every year as former federal workers warn it’s almost impossible to raise grievances through official avenues within the government, a new report reveals. http://thefreethoughtproject.com/report-shows-thousands-whistleblowers-facing-retaliation-police-state-usa/ As Radley Balko reported for Reason in 2010, police culture aggressively discourages whistleblowing. The “blue wall of silence” is “the most successful Stop Snitchin’ campaign in history,” as one activist told Balko. Breaking the Blue Wall: One Man’s War Against Police Corruption , by Justin Hopson http://copsholdingcopsaccountable.com/retaliation/ Blue Ribbon Panel: SFPD culture a bar to reforms A three-judge panel investigating reports of bias in the San Francisco Police Department determined institutional racism and bias exist among officers and the biggest hurdle to change is the department’s culture. The Blue Ribbon Panel on Transparency, Accountability, and Fairness in Law Enforcement, which found the department has little real oversight, took strong aim at the Police Officers Association, which panel members said essentially runs the department through a culture of “us against them” and attacks anyone who goes against the so-called thin blue line. The SFPO union’s head, Martin Halloran stated:“ Gascon, (the District Attorney), organized this whole charade to publicize his inflammatory claims of widespread racism in the Police Department, when in fact the problem is much more limited in scope. This panel is nothing more than a kangaroo court orchestrated by Gascon and the three puppets he handpicked.” http://www.sfexaminer.com/sfpd-culture-bar-reforms-blue-ribbon-panel/ http://sfblueribbonpanel.com/ http://sfblueribbonpanel.com/panel-members http://www.sfgate.com/crime/article/Blue-ribbon-panel-SFPD-needs-more-training-8352377.php |
